The Nelson Family purchased Child Time Inc. in 2002, in order to ensure the future of this wonderful program for their children and the children in the Salt Lake community. I, Veronica Nelson, began working for Child Time Inc. in 1995. After years of experience as the Executive Program Director, I am fully aware of what it takes to keep the program running smoothly, with happy parents, happy staff and most of all happy children. Therefore, with the support of the staff and each family, we will continue to provide Early Childhood Excellence!

We are a local company with “hands on” management. We work very hard to provide excellent working conditions for the faculty ensuring that we have quality teachers for the children. Child Time, Inc. is more than a property or a company; Child Time, Inc. is a haven for children that need a school that provides loving care and strong early childhood education as they venture onward into higher education.

Veronica Nelson

Executive Program Director

I have over 22 years in early childhood education, ranging from Teacher’s Aid to Program Director. I was hired as Program Director for Child Time Inc and after 6 years of overseeing daily operations, my family was given the opportunity to purchase the company. I have 3 wonderful boys that have all attended the schools and as a mother, as an educator and as an administrator, I can say that this is a wonderful program that I am very proud to be apart of.


Tasha Santistevan

Education Director

Tasha joined Child Time in 1994 and is instrumental in the continual growth of our programs. Her primary responsibilities are to train management and staff, as well as offering her expertise in the educational field to center operations. Tasha works at all 3 locations, both in the classroom and the office. She has the opportunity to meet all of the children and reinforce the philosophy that adapting a curriculum based to the needs of each child is a strong approach to creating the best education for children. Tasha has 5 great children that motivate her to change the world of early childhood education.


Cindy Hill

Curriculum and Training Specialist

Cindy Hill joined Child Time Inc. in 1992 as a gifted teacher with a genuine love for children and passion for education. Cindy taught in the ⅘, and the Kindergarten classes with great success. In 2007, she became the director at The Avenues Preschool and worked in that position for nearly 10 years. Now, Cindy works at all 3 locations, training staff and ensuring that the curriculum is engaging and challenging for all of our children. Cindy is a passionate child advocate always increasing her knowledge and understanding of early childhood education.


Barbra Hoffman

School Director: Eastside

Barbra joined our team at The Eastside Preschool in 2006 as a teacher in the 2/3 year old class. Her past experience in management made her a strong choice to move into the director’s office in 2007. Barbra works very hard to keep everything running smoothly at Eastside. She is a great support to the staff and works with the teachers to ensure that the needs of all children are met. Barbra has a beautiful daughter that she loves dearly, strengthening her ideology of the importance of early childhood education.


Tara Sauter

School Director: The Avenues

Tara Sauter has been with Child Time Inc’s. The Avenues Preschool for 4 years. She started out as the Dinosaur teacher (3 year olds), moved up to the Kangaroo Class (4 year olds), before moving into the office. Tara is currently attending the University of Utah. Tara loves the chance to be a part of shaping the children’s and families lives that we serve. They are the reason she gets the chance to do what she loves each and every day.


Taylor Barlow

School Director: Avenues Preschool

Taylor has been working with children for over 8 years. She received her CDA nearly 6 years ago and continues to further her knowledge of child development at every opportunity by attending classes, training and workshops. When Taylor began working at The Second Avenues Preschool she taught in the 2 year old classroom then worked with the 3 year olds prior to moving into the office. Taylor loves working with the children and their families. She is a wonderful leader and support to the staff and families at our center.


Lacey Casper

School Director: The Second Avenues Preschool

Lacey joined our company after Graduating High school in 2003. She taught our toddlers and two year old class’ at our Eastside location for 15 years before moving to the director position at Second Avenues. She has her Child development associates as well as an associates degree in Social Work. Lacey loves to further her training in child development attending conferences and doing research on new ideas and information. She has a daughter that attended Eastside for 10 years, before moving on to Junior High which definitely brings on a new adventure. She loves to work alongside her families and cannot wait to meet you.
